I'm a bit late to the game, but I've just discovered that The Master in Dr. Who is now a woman. I'm disturbed by this.
Now, if the creators of Dr. Who had the Time Lords regenerating as various sexes all along, I'd be okay with that. It would actually make sense. If they wrote the parts well, instead of the typical feminazi "strong woman" parts, it would have worked well and added to the depth of the franchise.
But, they didn't.
To add the concept of gender swapping now, and only for one character, just seems to be pandering to political correctness and contrary to the ethos of the good Doctor.
Of course, I've been dissatisfied with The Master since Roger Delgado.

Frog Falls
Occasionally, strange things fall from the sky. Things like frogs, or fish, or blood. Is anyone concerned that the most logical explanations for this phenomenon are:
1) A creator god who's not all there or enjoys practical jokes.
2) Entities with creation level powers, and a lack of supervision.
3) A glitch in the matrix.
It makes you wonder.

Image is Everything
I was watching a show the other day about Robin Hood. You know the one. The good King Richard, who loved his people, away on crusades, while the evil Prince John plunders the countryside.
King Richard, who refused to speak English, preferring French. King Richard who saddled his country with crushing debt to pay for the crusades. King Richard who saw England as a means to finance his adventures.
And then there's Prince, or rather King John. He did rule after Richard after all. He brought about an English speaking court and Magna Carta. But what are those compared to a good story.
